Parliament approves €50m facility for construction of Techimantia-Akomadan road

A €50 million loan facility has been approved by Parliament for the reconstruction of Bechem-Techimantia-Akomadan road. The road project forms part of the Akufo-Addo-led government’s promise to improve the country’s roads to facilitate economic growth, integrate rural development, improve access for the rural and urban poor to basic public services such as education, healthcare, water and sanitation and market centres.

The Attorney-General (A-G) has succeeded in convincing the Supreme Court to strike out the names of the Auditor-General, Daniel Domelovo, and the Acting Auditor-General, Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu, from a suit challenging President Akufo-Addo’s directive for Domelovo to proceed on his accumulated annual leave.
