COVID-19: Restrictions on drinking spots, tourist sites in Ghana lifted

Restrictions that were placed on tourist sites and drinking spot in Ghana have now been lifted. The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who announced this in his 14th update on the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) to Ghanaians on Sunday, July 26, 2020, said operators of such businesses can now open for the public to patronize their services.

Gov’t extends free water, electricity by three months

The government has extended free water and electricity to all Ghanaians for a period of three more months. Mr. Ofori-Atta made this observation when he appeared on the floor of Parliament on Thursday, July 23, 2020, to move the motion for approval of the Mid-Year Review of the Budget Statement and Economic Policy and Supplementary Estimate for the 2019 financial year.
