A human skull has been retrieved from a 27-year-old man’s room at Assin Breku in the Assin North District of the Central Region of Ghana.
The man has since been identified as Agya Asuo. He is currently in the grips of the Assin Praso Police Command where he is assisting with investigations.
According to sources familiar with the incident, it was the mother of Asuo who discovered the human skull in her son’s room after visiting him.
She immediately, informed the Police about her discovery.The Police then moved in to ascertain the truth or otherwise of the discovery.
Having been hit with the reality, the Police then arrested Asuo and caged him.
The suspect, according to some residents in the community, is mentally deranged. Sources say Asuo took the skull from one of the tombs that had carved in in a nearby cemetery and deposited same in his room some time ago.
It was only on Thursday, August 26, 2021, that her mother discovered the skull when she visited Asuo in his room.
The Assemblyman of the area, Charles Saasi, confirmed the incident to journalists at a briefing in Assin Breku on Friday, August 27, 2021.
According to him, the traditional authorities in area are demanding to perform some rituals before they could re-burry the skull since they consider such an abomination.
