A former President of the Republic, Jerry John Rawlings, has announced the immediate closure of his office.
The decision, according to a statement signed by his Communications Director, Kobina Andoh Amoakwa, is due to the fast pace in which the novel coronavirus is spreading.
“The decision which is aimed at protecting staff and potential visitors will be reviewed after two weeks”, the statement dated Thursday, July 9, 2020, in part read.
Mr. Rawlings has therefore urged all Ghanaians to be mindful of their discipline and care as the country work to combat the disease.
He has further called on all to wear their masks, maintain appropriate social distancing, cough etiquette and general hygiene protocols.
The statement therefore urged members of the general public wanting to contact his office do so through his email: firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
