Deputy Majority Leader of Ghana’s Parliament and NPP MP for Effutu constituency, Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, recognized hard working teachers in the Effutu Municipality by rewarding them with books and home electrical appliances.
Among the home electrical appliances awarded the best performing teachers include television sets, freezers, sound systems, and washing machines.
The gesture by the lawmaker, was in recognition of their efforts to improve education in the Effutu Municipality.
In August, 2021, Hon. Afenyo-Markin implemented the One Teacher One Laptop Project where every teacher in his constituency received a laptop to assist in their teaching work.
