Nana Konadu pulls out from 2020 polls

The Presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Party (NDP), Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, has withdrawn her candidature from the 2020 Presidential elections.

Reports indicate that the decision of the former First Lady of the land had to do with the sudden demise of her husband, former President Jerry John Rawlings, who passed away two weeks ago.

Konadu’s withdrawal from the Presidential poll comes exactly fourteen (14) days to the December 7th Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

Kasapafmonline.com reported Monday that the leadership of the NDP has informed the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana about the decision of their Presidential candidate.

The party is believed to hold a press conference later today to make their decision public.
