The company tasked with the responsibility of providing Coronavirus testing at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA), Frontiers Health Services (FHS), has raised alarm over high rate of positive COVID-19 recorded cases at the country’s point of entry.
In a letter dated Saturday, April 24, 2021, and addressed to the Managing Director, Ghana Airport Company Limited, the service provider said the unprecedented number of recorded cases at KIA is so alarming that it demands immediate attention.
“Today, 24th of April, 2021, we recorded seventy-five positive cases. This exceeds the previous highest rate of forty-five positive cases on the 21st of April, 2021. We once again appeal to all stakeholders to implement stringent measures on the quality of PCR results acceptable for entry into the Republic of Ghana. It has become imperative to implement new guidelines to curtail the influx of positive cases into the country. We trust our request would be given urgent attention it requires”, the letter signed Dr. Kudzu Seneadza, Managing Director of Frontiers Health Services and copied the Ghana Health Service in part read.
