Election 2020: Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah wins Techiman South seat

Deputy Minister of Regional Re-organization and Development, Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, has won the Techiman South parliamentary seat in a very close contest, available provisional result indicate.

He stood on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He amassed 49,683 of the valid votes cast while Christopher Bayere Baasongti who represented the National Democratic Congress (NDC) polled 49,205.

That means the former Director of Elections for the NPP polled 478 more votes than Mr. Baasongti.

From the collation center, none of the political parties’ agents were present when the EC announced the provisional results for the Parliamentary and Presidential results. The results are yet to be certified by agents of the various political parties and the Electoral Commission.
