The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has appointed ace Broadcaster, Paul Adom Otchere, as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL).
His appointment follows the successful end of tenure of the Oboshie Sai-Cofie-led Board of Directors.
He will be working hand-in-hand with Board members such including the Managing Director of GACL – Yaw Kwakwa, Mr Teye Adjirackor – President’s nominee, Kwabena Nyarko Jectey Nyarko, -President’s nominee, Philomina Sam -President’s nominee, Francis Kofi Nunoo – Ministry of Transport and Grp. Cpt. Gervase Wienaa – Ghana Airforce.
The new Board is expected to inject some vibrancy into the operations of the airport operator which revenue dipped following the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic which has impacted negatively on the aviation industry.
