Thirteen health workers in the Eastern Region have tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

In recent times we are getting more cases among health workers which is alarming and it’s not just because they are nursing patients, but it’s also because they are members of the community. I must sound a word of caution to everybody that all of us are at risk”, said the Eastern Regional Director of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Alberta Britwum Nyarko when commenting on the issue on Accra-based Joy FM.

“Apart from one who was very ill who we took to the University of Ghana Medical Centre, all the others are asymptomatic”, she added.
