he Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has declined the Declaratory Order from the Cape Coast High Court in the matter of the Election Petition of Michael Ankomah-Nifah Vrs the Member of Parliament for Assin North, James Quayson.
The Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, has cautioned that cooperation between the government and their side (Minority Caucus) in Parliament, risk suffering following a Cape Coast High Court ruling that has annulled the Assin North 2020 parliamentary election.
The Cape Coast High Court has annulled the 2020 Parliamentary election held in the Assin North constituency. The said election saw the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Joe Gyakye Quayson being elected as the Member of Parliament (MP).
