You can still vote – EC tells voters whose Voter ID cards are missing

The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has given hope to voters whose Voter Identification Cards are missing.

In a statement released by the election management body on Saturday, December 5, 2020, the Commission said all affected persons can still vote on Monday, December 7, 2020.

“Voters should go to the polling stations where they registered and mention their names to the Officers who will then look for their names in the Name Reference Lists”, the statement in part read.

Ghana goes to the polls on December 7th to elect a President and 275 parliamentarians to manage the country for the next four years.

A total of twenty seven (27) are competing in the 2020 general elections with twelve candidates cleared by the EC to compete for the Presidential slot in an exercise that will take place in 33,367 polling stations across the country.

17,027,655 voters are expected to exercise their franchise in the December 7th general polls.
