Please mask up! No taking chances – Police reminds Ghanaians to practice social distancing

The Ghana Police Service has served notice, reminding Ghanaians not to forget practicing social distancing since all the containment protocols announced by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to halt the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) are still in force. In a tweet on Sunday, June 7, 2020, the Police wondered whether Ghanaians are still practicing social distancing in their everyday lives to stop COVID-19. It reminded Ghanaians to wear face masks when stepping out from their homes.

“Hello family, are we still practicing social distancing in our everyday lives to stop COVID-19? It is also very important to wear face mask when stepping out”, the tweet read.

In what appears to be depicting the phrase ‘practice what you preach’ the tweet by the Police was accompanied by a picture with two officers in black uniform wearing face mask and standing one meter apart. The picture had the inscription “Please mask up! No taking chances” beneath it.
