The compilation of a new voters register for the conduct of the 2020 general elections will commence on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has revealed.
The set date was contained in letter addressed to the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, with the said letter a copy of which has been leaked to the media.
Date Monday, June 8, 2020, in part read “This letter comes to inform you that the 2020 Voters Registration Exercise has been scheduled to commence on Tuesday, the 30th of June, 2020. The registration will be held at all Registration Centres and District Offices of the Electoral Commission throughout the country”.
It then urged the political party not to hesitate to contact the election management body should they require further information about the exercise.
