The Head of the ECOWAS Observer Mission, Her Excellency, Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, has heaped praises on the 125-member observer mission deployed in all the 16 regions in Ghana for the just-concluded December 7, 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections.
Madam Johnson Sirleaf made the commendation at a debriefing session for ECOWAS observers on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, in Accra.
While welcoming the observers from their assignment, she congratulated them on the quality of their work, adding: “You are contributing to the stability and pride of our region”.
The ECOWAS Chief Observer described the 2020 elections in Ghana as generally free, fair, credible and transparent.
She praised the Government and people of Ghana for conducting such enviable elections and raising the standard for credible elections in Africa.
