Arrest killers of NDC man in Banda within 72 hrs – NDC to Police

The opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the Police for the arrest of persons involved in the murder of a 28-year-old man in Banda during the ongoing voter registration exercise.

The man who’s said to be a student died later at the hospital after he was stabbed by persons the NDC alleges are thugs sympathetic to the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP).

The NDC claims the perpetrators who were arrested by the police but later released after it emerged that the suspects belong to the NPP vigilante groups.

The NDC National Youth Organizer, George Opare Addo addressing a press conference stated that the party will fish out the perpetrators and hand them over to the authorities should the police fail to arrest them within 72 hours.

The killers of Silas have not been arrested, we demand within 72 hours that these people are arrested and brought to book. In the absence of that, we will have no other alternative than to find these hooligans, arrest them hand them over to the authorities. Our job, our mission is to carry on this fight into the December 7 election.”
